ON FILLING an URGENT NEED FOR VICTIMS of the TSUNAMI

There is an urgent need to supply psychological help for victims of the tsunami. Such help must be widespread, easily accessible, cost effective, useful, and relevant. In this connection radio is the perfect medium. I propose that the Voice of America, BBC, or any other interested radio station initiate a twenty four hour crisis intervention program that would deliver quality content. This content would consist of reliable information that will aid victims to effectively cope with panic anxiety, deep depression, and quintessential frustration - all ingredients of severe  physical and psychological trauma.

Coping with the Tsunami's Aftermath

My cousin, Dan Zukowski, danzukowski., has listed a number of web sites for those who wish to contribute money to the tsunami survivors. In addition to the need for physical help, the survivors of the Tsunami need psychological help as well. In response to the 911 terror attack on the Twin Towers in New York City I wrote the following article called "Coping with Fear", equally applicable to this massive disaster as well.
