BOTH PARTIES ARE NOT EQUAL
Conspiracy theories abound. Most are transparently hyper subjective screeds which are thin on accurate facts. And those that offer accurate facts generally grossly distort their meanings. However there are those relatively rare times when a conspiracy theory holds water. In this connection I believe that the Republican campaign to capture the leadership of the next elected government fits the operating definition of a qualified conspiracy theory.
The Wikipedia says: "A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization or, more broadly, the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory
OK - I am guilty. The plot I am defining as a conspiracy is no secret to anyone who pays attention to the quotations of the leadership of the Republican Party. Listening to Boehner for example stating from the beginning of his last term that his chief purpose is to do nothing and then blame President Obama for the failure to generate jobs.
Says Boehner: "It's pretty clear that over the last three months the economy has paused. And it's also pretty clear the American people are still demanding and asking the question, 'Where are thejobs?' And the reason we don't have new jobs is because of the job-killing agenda pursued by President Obama and his allies in the Congress." http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/j/john_boehner.html#4xviGr021ymoQ6e0.99
Meanwhile there is a pressing need to push through a massive infrastructure bill that would instantly create thousands of jobs only to be held up in the House. Or another no brainer is is to give money to the states to rehire thousands of laid off teachers, firemen, policemen etc. This too is gagged by the Republicans for transparent reasons.
Then that great guy Romney casts himself as the great Jobs hero who do to his expertise actually doing a good days work is far superior to the President who only knows how to tax and spend. I have little doubt that a detailed examination of his inflated claims for job creation will be more than off set by his numbers of job destruction resulting from his un compassionate brand of vulture capitalism.
I had thought the time of the Nixon presidency was unparalleled in American history for all time for its transparent cynicism, crookedness. obstructionism, calculated striving for power and damn the people - Well obviously I was wrong. Today's Republican party has truly characterized itself as 'one for the books." So my conclusion is that today's Republican party is truly conspiratorial but one which is qualified as a transparent conspiracy.
