ANYTHING GOES
If Mitt Romney fails to win the Presidency he should automatically be given an award for the statistician of the century. In pushing back at President Obama for daring to assert that the Republicans have a major gender gap due to their "war against women", Romney declared: "... that women account for more than 92 percent of jobs lost under Obama. " [Pontifact rated this statement as 'mostly false."]
Totally absurd on the face of it, nothing that Romney says appears to be surprising having taken detailed note of his campaign rhetoric. What does amaze me is the fact that there is even one potential woman voter who would reasonably want to vote for the Romney and his party given his (their) clear denigration of American women.
Have we reduced the bar so low in terms of the esteeming of values of truth telling, integrity, and consistency that we forgive the most egregious transparent false and patently anti factual statements in the service of 'that's just politics' - all is fair in love and war and presidential campaigns. "
I know - The Democrats as a whole are hardly candidates for Sainthood. But really it is absurd to equate the two parties as equal on this account. Just take practically any daily review of the statements issued by the spokespeople of both parties and compare them for being factual, reasonable and fair. Any half way intelligent 12 year old will not conclude that the two parties are the same when it comes to the values of accuracy, and integrity.
If the statement: I mean what I say and I say what I mean is utilized as a reasonable definition of trust then Romney and his advisers and his union of politicos and channel five cohorts are not even close to being worthy of wearing the mantle of leadership for the next four years.
I challenge anyone to dispute me with the facts not your passionate anti Obama feelings.
