IRONY OF IRONIES!
| Events like what is happening or not happening in Mynamar this make most of us mortals take undeniable note of our relative powerlessness to act in the face of realistic limitations. How ironic is it that because most of the world agrees that national sovereignity reins supreme multiple corrupt, unscrupulous, sadistic, psychopathic, paranoid, power obsessed rulers get to push around and abuse multitudes of the ruled without having to be concerned with too much external threat to their inhumane attitudes and behavior. |
| These despots appear to be cut out of the same cloths - It makes me wonder if there isn't a University For Dictators somewhere secret teaching these poor excuses for human beings how to succeed in gaining power and once having attained it hold onto it by fear, intimidation, force, and cruelty. I have this grand fantasy that those who rule are only able to do so by the consent of the governened and that sooner or later the enslaved will rise up and tear apart their oppressors. And indeed this often happens but in the mean time innocent folk suffer. For me there is no need to posit the existence of a transcendent hell as places like Burma, Darfur, Iraq, North Korea, Congo, Rhodesia and others fulfill the description of hell perfectly. |
| All I can think of doing is to try to raise the public consciousness to face the brutish facts that what is happening all over the world in big and small scope is real, tragic, and hellish. The hope is that public opinion in the form of a united laser beam of light will shame these perverted so called 'leaders" to cease and desist and, if nothing else, fear for their own lives. |
