Q: WHEN is a COINCIDENCE not a COINCIDENCE? A: WHEN it is a SYNCHRONICITY
I thought my soon to be published book on Demystifying Coincidences (Synchronicities) was physically going to to be in Barnes and Noble instead of just on Barnes and Noble (and Amazon) on line. My publisher tells me my work is classified as an academic and professional book - thus the brick and mortar stores are likely not to carry it. This means that whatever marketing that is targeted to the "trade" is strictly up to me.
Besides my disappointment of not being able to see my book in the bookstore - alive and pulsating - (or am I only projecting?) from the enthusiastic response I have been getting when I mention my subject matter I am certain that what I have written is a "crossover " book. One not need to be a psychoanalytic patient to be able to derive a great deal of personal benefit in reading the book.
Of course there are many who will read this and say that I am biased and obviously self serving. While of course true, I see by the enthusiastic response I have been receiving that awareness and interest in coincidences is "in the air."
So in the service of trying to be as objective as I am able to be I am requesting that all who read this article please take a few moments, write down your most amazing coincidence, and send it along as a response to this article.
I would also like to know what you make of them, where you think they come from, and what are their implications. If my observation is accurate I would expect to see both a large number of responses to this article as well as some awesome descriptions.
If I am wrong I will still order a book from the publisher and read it myself. Then I can do what Van Gogh said to his brother Theo: "If I could buy my own paintings I would be self sufficient."
Thanks in advance.....
